One of the most recent developments has been the setting up of a new research centre in 2003. Housed at the c2d, the recently created e-Democracy Centre (e-DC) has sought to replicate the success of the c2d in the exciting new field of electronic democracy. The centre is dedicated to the study of how the internet and other information communication technologies (ICT’s) impact on political processes.
